New MoonVision 2Every day when I get off the bus and head home, certain thoughts often come to my mind. The apartment I live in was constructed next to a large urban village, which is home to a significant number of low-income residents.Just the other day, as I stepped off the 311 bus and set foot on the bridge, I looked up and saw the buildings that were almost touching each other. There was barely any space between them, and certainly no room for ample sunlight or a decent view. But above these tightly packed buildings, I saw a fancy new moon, pale white like a scoop of vanilla ice cream. So close, yet so far. For those people living in such densely populated areas, is it truly that easy to see the moon when they leave their homes? How many years might it take for them to truly appreciate the beauty of the moon.
